Plant Selection.

To source plants as locally as possible from ethical, organic and sustainable origins

To use native planting wherever possible, particularly in areas where the local flora is in decline

To reduce valuable water resources by choosing plants, trees and shrubs that are as hardy and draught tolerant as possible

To reduce energy expended in heating and lighting by using hardy plants in optimal conditions and avoid reliance on heated greenhousing or polytunnels.

Hard landscape selection.

To utilise hard landscaping materials from sources as local as possible, using either recycled materials ,or those from well managed, sustainable sources whilst giving due regard to embedded energy in manufacture.

Growing media selection

To use home produced fertilisers and composts wherever possible

If not available, to import only organic and peat free growing media

Chemicals
|

In line with organic best practice, we undertake not to use any chemicals such as pesticides, fungicides or herbicides on our plants or other materials.

Administration

We will both recycle and use recycled paper in our communications

We will keep our pricing structure simple and transparent to avoid duplication of paperwork and avoid confusion.

To reduce our carbon footprint, we undertake to cut carbon emissions by reducing travel and seeing clients that are local within a 50 mile radius only when necessary.
